Rob Schneider Making A Sitcom On Spec
Rob Schneider is currently shooting his new comedy series “Real Rob”. He’s has total say in the production and that’s because he’s the one footing the bill.
According the LA Times, Schneider is shooting 8 episodes without any guarantee of return of investment. The show, which he describes as an exaggerated version of his real life, hasn’t been sold or even pitched to a network or streaming service such as Amazon, Hulu and Netflix. He was even against the idea of crowdsourcing the idea with a Kickstarter campaign.
Schneider said – “My fans are already paying for this,” referring to the money he’s made as an actor and comedian.
One thing that is sure. No matter where it shows very few people will watch and even fewer will think it’s funny…..C’mon Rob, we are just joking.
