Ralph Macchio, Ann Coulter Added to Rob Lowe Roast

Comedy Central’s Roasts are known for having an eclectic crew of roasters at each event; Justin Bieber was roasted by Martha Stewart and Shaquille O’Neal, Donald Trump was roasted by Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Snoop Dogg, and Larry the Cable Guy was (for whatever reason) roasted by Warren Sapp. The dais is always populated by some interesting characters, but the upcoming roast of actor Rob Lowe may just take the cake.

Most of this year’s roasters fit right in: Roastmaster David Spade will be joined by the roastmaster Jeff Ross (of course), comedians Nikki Glaser, Jimmy Carr and Pete Davidson, actor/stand-up Rob Riggle, and former big screen co-stars Bo Derek and Ralph Macchio. As usual, though, there are a few wildcards. Also taking to the stage will be current pizza-slinger and former Denver Broncos/Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, singer/songwriter Jewel, and (drumroll please) . . . political commentator Ann Coulter.

Just give that a second to sink in, really let it settle in there.

Ann Coulter will be telling jokes, on a stage, in front of people.

This roast, as with most of them, promises to be wonderfully funny and awkward and strange.

The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe is set to tape on August 27th at Sony Studios, and will make its television premiere on Labor Day, September 5th.
