Phillip Seymour Hoffman Was Going to Guest Star on Louie
In an interview with Yahoo!, actor Jeremy Renner who will be appearing on an episode of Louie next week revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman was supposed to appear in the episode.
No, no. I play a real character in Louie’s life. Phil [Seymour] Hoffman was supposed to be in it, too. It’s about young Louie, so he isn’t even acting in it — he’s just directing it. Yeah, then Phil unfortunately passed, but I guess they were able to pull the episode together.
Hoffman’s part of the episode had not yet been filmed before his death in February of this year. Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s death still stings and now news is it that he would have played a part in this season’s Louie. How many movies will we watch in the future knowing that he would have nailed a role in it?
