Phil Simms Is Now Tony Romo’s TV Backup

Part of the deal that CBS made to attract recently retired quarterback Tony Romo to its network, was to give Romo its number one color commentator spot which was Phil Simms’ spot. This bumps Simms down the pecking order to calling less important NFL games. If it’s any comfort to Phil, Romo will more than likely injure himself trying to pick up a microphone.
