There is so much stand up coming at you this fall, you won’t know where to turn, and it’s all top caliber. Netflix and Comedy Central recently released great schedules for original stand up specials, and now HBO is announcing some exciting new specials.

For everyone who like us, is anxiously awaiting the new HBO series, Crashing to debut on HBO, you won’t be seeing that series until 2017. But there’s good news. Pete Holmes taped an all new hour special back in April in Chicago at the Vic Theatre. He’s calling it Pete Holmes: Faces and Sounds and it will air on HBO in 2016 just to tide you over. We’re so happy HBO has found big love for Holmes, we’ve missed him since The Pete Holmes Show went off the air.

Then in October, HBO is bringing back another sorely missed brilliant comedian. Tracey Ullman is back, and she’s bringing Tracey Ullman’s Show to the network starting on Friday October 28th. The sketch comedy series looks at modern life in the UK. Tracey is no stranger to HBO, she received six Emmy’s for her outstanding HBO series “Tracey Takes On…” which ran for four seasons.

T.J. Miller whose celebrity level skyrocketed with the HBO series Silicon Valley (and then again after Deadpool) is also bringing his talents to the channel. He’s about to tape a brand new hour special, and if you’re in the area, you can be at the taping on September 16th at the Paramount in Denver. T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous will air in 2017.

Jerrod Carmichael will tape his second solo special for HBO this fall- date not yet announced, and the hour will air in 2017. His last special, Jerrod Carmichael: Love at the Store, debuted on the network in 2014.

HBO also announced that a brand new All Def Comedy hour will be taping on September 7 at the Avalon in Los Angeles, hosted by Tony Rock.
