NYC Mayor de Blasio Thinks It’s Sad Cops Turned Their Back On Him At Funeral

Bill de Blasio had this to say after a number of cops turned their backs on him at an officer’s funeral:
“It’s very sad. We were all supposed to be there to respect the family in their hour of pain. That’s the only thing people should have been thinking about, not making some kind of political statement.”
The officers involved turned their backs on the Mayor because he attended the G20 Summit in Germany the day after the police officer was murdered. Honestly, they were probably turning their backs because he showed up a half hour late to the service.
