Noted Author Claims Netflix & Box Sets Are Killing The Novel


Novelist Robert Harris known for his books, “Pompeii“, “Enigma” and “Fatherland“, says that binge watching is moving the novel “away from a central position in the culture.” He added that even though watching a full season of a Netflix series takes the same amount of time as reading a book, “you hear more people talking about ‘Breaking Bad‘ than you do about a novel.” He said more stuff about books, but we were too busy catching up on Orange is the New Black to pay attention.
