New York Woman Solves Father’s Murder

Joselyn Martinez, a New York woman who was 9 when her father was killed in front of his eatery in 1986, has solved the case 26 years later. The murderer, Justo Santos, fled to the Dominican Republic after the killing and was imprisoned there for a year for an unrelated crime, the period during which the NYPD closed the case. Martinez tracked down the perpetrator using social media and presented her findings to the police. Santos was promptly arrested. He would have gotten away with it too, it if wasn’t for that meddling kid.
