New York Times writer Dave Itzkoff is going to work on a Robin Williams biography. The book will be a look at Robin’s entire life and career, not just his last days.

The Hollywood Reporter quoted Itzkoff on his thoughts on the subject of his new book – “Robin Williams was a cultural hero of mine. In the encounters and interactions I was able to share with him, he was always gentle and generous, humane and thoughtful and hilarious.”

Itzkoff’s publisher Henry Holt announced the project saying it would be – “the definitive, comprehensive account of Williams’s life.”

This will be Itzkoff’s third book. He previously wrote “Mad as Hell: The Making of Network and the Fateful Vision of the Angriest Man in Movies” which was released this year and 2011’s “Cocaine’s Son: A Memoir”.

The Robin Williams bio does not have a title or release date yet.
