New FX Series to Star Billy Crystal and Josh Gad

Billy Crystal is returning to television and it has nothing to do with the Oscars. FX has given a 13-episode series order to the Billy Crystal-Josh Gad comedy “The Comedians.” Crystal will play veteran comedian who is reluctantly paired with an edgier up-and-coming star, played by Gad. The premiere is scheduled for next year. So, if Robin Williams’ sit-com is renewed, the 2015 television season can feel just like 1979 all over again.
