New Documentary: Fight For Space

Digital film production company Eventide Visuals has started a Kickstarter project to get their documentary filmed, Fight for Space. Here’s the description of their film:

“Fight for Space” is a feature length documentary film that explores the current state and future of the U.S. space program. We are asking for your support to fund this film to it’s completion so we can help to make space exploration a top priority for the United States.

Like Ronnie B has said, the two greatest things the US ever did was NASA and Motown

I’m all in. I’d love it if we got to hear from John Young, the greatest astronaut of all time. 2cd greatest if we hadn’t lost Gus Grissom so prematurely… I’m going to give some of my money right now.

Of course Obama got rid of the space program, you can’t buy votes in space. He is using the money to buy votes from aliens that stream across our borders everyday.

@thoughtcops not correct the space shuttle. Program. Was refunded under the Bush administration ( ask John Glenn) . The final two shuttle missions that were scrubbed were reinstated by Obama! It is interesting that conservatives want the government to step back and let private industry take the lead. Obama and Bush both wanted more private investment into space exploration. Now that we have it why are you all complaining? Make up your minds, Do you want private enterprise or another government controlled program ? As an historical note, private industry is largely responsible for scientific advances.. NASA has had some brilliant accomplishments but also some monumental failures. Many due to politics and crushing government interference

@thoughtcops Absolutely false . The shuttle program was defunded under the Bush administration ! The final two shuttle missions that were scrubbed were reinstated by Obama. ( ask John Glenn ) I find it interesting when conservatives complain that the government is trying to control everything and private industry does thing better. Now we have opened the door for more private investment. What are you all complaining about ? Do you want private investment or government control ? As an historical note : private investment has been responsible for the vast majority of scientific advances. NASA has had some brilliant accomplishments but also some monumental failures because of politics and crushing bureaucracy! NASA does not have clean hand nor does private industry. There have always been ” turf wars ” and self interest. It’s
been over 30 years of the shuttle program and almost 50 years since the lunar programs and we are still in low earth orbit ! IT’S TIME To MOVE FORWARD !!!!!

I sometimes dream of a united world…A world that understands It’s only chance to survive is to grow and branch out into space….Where every person in every society works in a station that supports that goal. Then I realize I’m dreaming..and where doomed.
