New CW Reality Show ‘Cedric’s Barber Battle,’… Seriously
Cedric the Entertainer hosts the hair cutting competition series, “Cedric’s Barber Battle” coming to the CW this Friday. A New York Times review described the traveling reality show as featuring “three barbers in each episode, whose work is assessed by a three-judge panel. The barbers work in front of a cheering crowd, are given a first-round challenge that results in the elimination of one of them.” And of course as each contestant is eliminated Cedric tells them “You’ve been clipped”. The winner however takes home $15,000.
Cedric’s own barbering experience comes from his work in the “Barber Shop” comedy movie franchise co-starring Ice Cube. Cedric has already signed on for a third “Barber Shop” which is going into production.
“Cedric’s Barber Battle” premieres this Friday, April 17th at 8pm et on the CW.
Spoiler Alert : In the third episode Cedric grabs a pair of scissors plunges them into his throat.
