Netflix Renews ‘Friends from College’ Despite Bad Reviews

Netflix announced today that they are renewing the new comedy Friends from College for a second season. The show, which debuted last month with an eight-episode first season, was written by husband and wife writing/producing duo Nick Stoller (Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Francesca Delbanco. The show tells the story of a group of friends who all met at Harvard in their youth, parted ways and then reconnected heading into their 40’s. Each episode depicts the hilarious, yet ridiculous scenarios that these ill-adjusted adults finds themselves in, mirroring the mistakes of their college days.

Friends from College has a star-studded cast that features Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Billy Eichner, Annie Parisse, Fred Savage, Nat Faxon and Jae Suh Park. While there’s plenty of talent on board, critics have been hard on the show. You can check out our own review of the show here. Nonetheless, Friends from College will live to see another season and is sure to come back sometime in 2018. You can check the show out on Netflix and see what the fuss is all about.
