Netflix Jumps Into the Half Hour Special Game with Dan Soder, Nate Bargatze and More

Netflix is giving more comics a chance to get a Netflix special under their belt, by diving in to the Half Hour Special game.

People of Los Angeles! What are you doing tonight and tomorrow night? If you’re quietly saying to yourself “I’m going to see the first batch of Netflix half-hour specials get filmed,” then, well, that’s very convenient and oddly prophetic. If you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about, here are the details:

Comedians Dan Soder (SiriusXM’s The Bonfire, Billions), Nate Bargatze (Maron, The Tonight Show), Nikki Glaser (Not Safe with Nikki Glaser), Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project, Chelsea Lately), Deon Cole (Black-ish), and Beth Stelling (@midnight, Red Oaks) are all in Los Angeles this week in order to film their respective half-hour Netflix specials, the first round of half-hours that the streaming service has produced. This was yet another great get on Netflix’s part, as four of these six comics have put out one-hour specials in the last two years, and most are on TV regularly. It appears that, in addition to their quickly-growing slate of one-hour specials, Netflix is looking to offer a host of more easily digestible half-hours as well, which is a big prospect for comedy fans and comics alike.

On Tuesday, February 28th at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., Glaser, Cole and Stelling will take to the stage to do their respective tapings. The following night, Wednesday, March 1st, Soder, Bargatze and Feimster will also perform two tapings, at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Tickets to the tapings are free; Getting a chance to see all of these killer comics over the course of two nights is a rare prospect indeed, so be sure to secure your tickets ASAP, which you can do by following this link.
