NBC cannot get enough Peter Pan. The network already has “Peter Pan” the live musical which will air in December. And now, NBC has ordered a pilot for a workplace comedy based on the Neverland characters. The workplace isn’t a pirate ship, it’s an office and the show is told from Wendy’s point of view.

“Wendy and Peter” is described by Deadline as the story about a woman named Wendy who is looking for love with a real man, but ends up falling for Peter, her co-worker, who refuses to grow up. Maybe there’s room for corporate pirates.

The show is created and written by actor Marisa Coughlan and it’s based loosely on her own dating experiences. Hopefully very loosely. It would be sad to think she was involved with a guy who lost a hand to crocodile who had swallowed a clock. “Wendy and Peter” will also be executive produced by Coughlan along with Rashida Jones from “Parks and Recreation” and actor Will McCormack.

Rashida Jones talked about Coughlan’s idea for the series. “Her show, which uses the world of Peter Pan as its backdrop, combines pathos, comedy and heart, creating the perfect love story.”

Expect to see an office character based on a very jealous fairy.
