Nancy Cartwright, who’s been voicing Bart Simpson on “The Simpsons” for 26 years now, has found another creative outlet for her character. A new sculpture of Bart as the super hero version of himself, “Bartman” was unveiled in New York City on Friday. The bust was created by Nancy Cartwright herself.

Nancy explained that this is her first piece of art, but always knew that she was able to do it. She told the New York Post, “I had seen other people work with clay, and there was something inside me . . . I had this innate knowing that I could sculpt.” She added, “It’s a different kind of artistic gratification than I get from creating voices.” The network was so impressed with her work that they commissioned a mold of her sculpture and created two of them cast in bronze.

One of the new Bart Simpson sculptures was revealed to the public at Fox’s News Corp. Building in New York on the Avenue of the Americas. The other one will be at the University of Southern Cal. The one at Fox news replaces the statue of the network’s other well-known cartoon character, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
