Movie Producer Versus Movie Critic

David Denby, movie critic for the New Yorker, has made an enemy out of Scott Rudin a producer on the new film “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”.  Denby needed a review of a serious film for the coming issue of his magazine and announced he would be reviewing Rudin’s film.  The problem was that Denby agreed to an embargo on publishing his review and decided to print it 8 days earlier than he agreed to.  Rudin was furious saying this has badly damaged his movie and will not invite Denby to another screening ever.  The free popcorn is probably gone too.
