Mike Judge Open To Idea Of Live Action Beavis and Butt-Head

It’s the age of the reboot, which means that people everywhere are constantly in a state of either reveling in the revived glory of their favorite shows and movies, or are lamenting the death of their beloved franchises as they get beaten into the ground. Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Prison Break, Full House; no matter your preference, no series is safe, for better or for worse. Another series that we may soon be able to add to the list? Beavis and Butt-Head.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “They already rebooted the show back in 2011 for awhile!” That’s true. But was it live action!?

In an interview with RadioTimes.com, Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill and Silicon Valley creator Mike Judge got on the topic of his beloved characters and suggested that the show could “maybe be a live-action someday.” Judge was merely throwing around ideas, and didn’t indicate that he’d actually seriously pursued the idea as of yet, but the possibility of a live-action Beavis and Butt-Head is at once both hilarious and kind of disturbing. Judge added that Beavis a.k.a. Cornholio would likely be “homeless by now,” so the Beavis and Butt-Head we’d be rediscovering would be full-grown adults, an interesting prospect indeed.

If the project ever does come to fruition, let us pray that the pair don’t end up looking like this, for all of our sakes:
