Mike Epps Apologizes For Posting White Slave Photo

Mike Epps has a new web series debuting on AOL on Monday called “That’s Racist with Mike Epps”. According to TMZ, Epps got an early start when he posted a photoshopped image on Instagram on Thursday that had people complaining “That’s racist”.

The photo featured a black man whipping three white slaves while the smiling face of Martin Luther King Jr. appears in the clouds above with the caption “Iam so proud of you bro! Lol” Epps deleted the image and apologized if anyone was offended. He also let everyone know he didn’t create the image, that was his nephews doing. He just posted it.

In his new AOL series, Epps will talk about what things are considered racist and what aren’t. He talks to people on the street, historical experts and other comics to find the origins of where certain racial, ethnic and sexual stereotypes came from. We’ll see if this is the beginning of more apologies from Epps and AOL to come. See the photo below.
