Melissa McCarthy Gets Messy in Trailer for Cook Off!

Cathryn Michon, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Melissa McCarthy star in the upcoming movie COOK OFF! Reminiscent of Christopher Guest’s Best in Show, the cooking competition mockufilmedy about contestants on the hunt for a one-million dollar cook-off prize also stars Gary Anthony Williams, Niecy Nash, Ben Falcone and Diedrich Bader. Cook Off! hits theaters November 17th.

The fake filmmakers follow a buffet of quirky contestants as they prepare for the renowned Van Rookle Farms Cooking Contest. Who will rise? Who will fall? Who will reveal their true nature, and who will find love with the contest’s costumed Muffin Man mascot? With Jack Plotnick, Diedrich Bader, Phil LaMarr, Jordan Black, Romy Rosemont, Roy Jenkins, Cristine Rose, Jennifer Cox, Markie Post, Gavin MacLeod, Cedric Yarbrough, Stephen Root, Louie Anderson and Marcia Wallace. And if you were wondering how Marcia Wallace (The Simpsons‘ beloved Miss Edna Krabappel) could be appearing in a 2017 comedy release when she passed away four years ago, it’s because Cook Off! was filmed in 2007 according to IMDb. It’s taken 10 years for this film to get its national release, which finally arrives on November 17th.

Cook Off! was written by Cathryn Michon & Wendi McLendon-Covey and W. Bruce Cameron and based on the Book “The Grrl Genius Guide to Life” by Cathryn Michon.
