Matt “Peaches” Braunger has a new special coming to Comedy Central. The best part of his new comedy hour is that we finally get to find out how a 40 year old man from Portland got the nickname “Peaches”. “Matt Braunger: Big Dumb Animal” premieres Friday, February 6th at 12am et on Comedy Central.

Even more will be revealed in Braunger’s second special. He gives his audience at the Bell House in Brooklyn, the logic on why being 39 is so much better than being 40 and how he deals with being a “Big Dumb Animal” with a severe anger problem.

Matt Braunger worked out of UCB Los Angeles and was a part of MADtv, plus he had a regular role on NBC’s “Up All Night”. He was also part of the “Chelsea Lately” roundtable.

Leading up to the premiere of his special, Matt Braunger is on the road doing a series of specialty shows. He’ll be part of the Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction show hosted by Bryan Cook with TJ Chambers and Jesse Elias at the Verdi Club in San Francisco on Friday, January 30th. And on Saturday, January 31st, Matt is doing the Speechless show at San Francisco’s Stage Werx with Guy Branum, Caitlin Gill and April Richardson. In “Speechless”, comedians are forced to improvise power point images that they’ve never seen before as inspiration. The added twist is that a wheel is spun to decide how their improvisation is presented. It could be anything from a TED talk to a wedding toast style.

Matt Braunger is also the co-host of the MATTs Radio podcast along with Matt Dwyer. It’s available at Last.FM

See the premiere of “Matt Braunger: Big Dumb Animal” on Friday, February 6th at 12am et on Comedy Central. The special will be available the next day, February 7th on the Comedy Central app.
