In all fairness to West Virginia’s Teyvon Meyers who hit Verne Lunquist in the face with a basketball this weekend, Verne did say he was retired and really shouldn’t have been there. It almost looks like Verne took this ball the hard way just to distract from his partner, Jim Spanarkel making sexist comments.
