Louis C.K. Heads to Portlandia
Louis C.K. Guests in Portlandia Episode Directed by Steve Buscemi
Carrie Brownstein tweeted that they’ve wrapped filming on Season Six of Portlandia and dropped a big hint about a very big special guest star in the photo. Who is that red-headed bespectacled man in the back seat? That’s Louis C.K.
Last week Armisen also dropped some photographic evidence on his instagram that C.K. was in town during filming. No word leaked yet about what kind of role he will be playing, but IFC told Splitsider he’ll be appearing in one episode of Season Six.
According to the Portland Tribune, the episode featuring C.K. was shot in Tigard, Oregon, a small city just south west of Portland proper. Crews were spotted spending the day at local coffee shop, Symposium Coffee for an episode that will be titled “Family Emergency.” Steve Buscemi, who was in the photograph Armisen posted, directed the episode according to the Tribune.
Last week it was announced that Portlandia will wrap its run after two more seasons, some time in 2018.
