Is Louis C.K. going on Jeopardy! to win back all the money he lost on Horace and Pete?

Nope. Louis will appear on Jeopardy! this week, but it will be as part of the 2016 Power Players Tournament which means any money he wins will go straight to charity. He’ll be appearing alongside and competing with author Jonathan Franzen, silver fox Anderson Cooper and comedian/Minnesota senator Al Franken.

Louis says he’s been watching Jeopardy! since he was a kid, but is a bit nervous about bombing. “I think they’re going to be funnier than me” he said about his competitors. “You need to be comfortable to be funny, and this is not my comfort zone. However, it might be funny for other people to watch me be very uncomfortable.”

Former comedian Al Franken and current US Senator will be playing for the USO which helps US military personnel stay connected to family, home and country throughout their service to the nation. Franken has appeared on Jeopardy! before, but says he’s really slacked off on his pop culture education since becoming a senator.

Other guests include a slew of political commentators like conservative S.E. Cupp, Ana Navarro, racial activist Melissa Harris-Perry, NBC’s Jonathan Capehart, MSNBC’s Michael Steele, South Africa’s Lara Logan and Democratic primary debate moderator Chuck Todd. Lawyer Sunny Hostin is another intellectual while the last of the professionals from entertainment is television god Matthew Weiner. This line-up is the most Jeopardy! approach to a celebrity episode, which is to say a hilariously dry and yet totally interesting cast of smart people.

Louis is playing for the Fistula Foundation, which is dedicated to ending the suffering caused by obstetric fistula, a childbirth injury caused by prolonged, unrelieved, obstructed labor that renders a woman incontinent, which then leads to them being shunned in many countries. A simple surgery can correct the problem.

We don’t know what nights C.K. and Franken will appear or who they will be up against, but the winner of each game will earn a minimum of $50,000 for their charity of choice, while each of the other contestants will receive a guaranteed $10,000 for their cause. Power Players Week was taped in front of a live audience on Saturday, April 9, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and will air nationwide this week, May 16-20, 2016
