Latest Odds On The New Pope

pope-benedict-horizontal-large-galleryIt’s Pope Benedict XVI’s last day on the job.  And Paddy Power, Ireland’s biggest bookmaker, has the odds out on who the next Holy Father will be. Cardinal Peter Turkson (Ghana) and  Archbishop Angelo Scola (Italy) are the favorites at 3/1 odds.  Followed by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone (Italy) at 4/1 and Cardinal Marc Ouellet (Canada) at 7/1.  Our own Cardinal Timothy Dolan is listed at 33/1.  And you can even wager on U2’s Bono at 1000/1 odds.

Those Bono odds are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too low… this gig isn’t nearly big enough for his ego.

Scola was the one responsible for most of the latest cover ups according to that HBO film. My guess is they’ll reward him for it.

It’s gotta be Turkson.  There are vast numbers of African children without proper guidance just sitting for the taking.

There’s going to be an Asian pope soon, but Ron’s opinion of an African pope seems more realistic.

@Rash wow Popie reminded me of an old Don and Mike bit. Mike did the Popes voice and was selling pope branded products like “Popesi” instead of Pepsi…. I found it funny anyways.
