Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

It’s big, interesting week in late night television, so let’s get right to the highlights.

All this week, James Corden will be trying something new by having a full-time musical guest / co-host when Harry Styles does a week long residency on the Late Late Show.  Well,  it’s not all that new. It’s like a throwback to The Mike Douglas Show from the 60s and 70s, where Mike would have a special guest co-host who would spend an entire week of shows with him. The One Directioner (is that a word?) will also perform a new song from his just released solo album each night.

On Monday, Vladimir Caamaño is making his late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live. You can wish him luck and congratulate him on his Twitter account, @LaughingVlad. Also this week, Conan O’Brien is taking the week off, but on Monday, you can catch a best-of appearance by Barry Crimmins on a repeat episode of Conan.

Wednesday features a non-comedy highlight, with music legend David Crosby and sports un-legend Tim Tebow both booked on the Tonight Show. Only Tebow could be that unsuccessful of an athlete and still be asked to be a guest on the Tonight Show. A more decorated athlete makes his way to Jimmy Fallon’s couch on Thursday when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be appearing to promote his new comedy film “Baywatch“, but will he also be announcing any White House ambitions? Tune in and smell what the Rock is cookin’.

The weekend starts on Friday night when Stephen Colbert welcomes legendary comic Paula Poundstone back to network television and The Rock is back in late night again this week, hosting the the season finale of Saturday Night Live when he will also join the SNL 5 Timers Club.
