Whether you prefer the word “repeats” or “reruns” or the much classier term, “encore performances”, this week’s late night programming is full of them. Just about all of the talk show hosts in late night are taking Holy Week off leading to Easter. Hopefully you didn’t give up watching Jimmy Kimmel Live or Conan for Lent, because they’re the only two late night hosts working this week. Everything else is in “Best Of” mode, (Hey, there’s another term for a recycled show!).
Just because most shows are off this week, that doesn’t mean that we don’t have some highlights to look forward to. On Monday night, Jimmy Kimmel welcomes Bob Saget and John Stamos. These two alumni from Full House, were both close friends with the great Don Rickles. They’re sure to have some hilarious and touching stories to share about the late Mr. Warmth. On Wednesday, watch for one of the busiest men in comedy, Judd Apatow, making an appearance on JKL. The week ends with one of the most successful graduates of Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Fallon, returning to host a new live SNL. Also, all through the week, The Daily Show continues to honor their own, with its “Your Moment of Them” series. Each day this week, The Daily Show will have a special episode highlighting a different one of its correspondents. Check the full listings below to see when your favorite Daily Show reporter is getting his or her day.
In the rerun department, on Tuesday, if you missed it, you can see Greer Barnes’ hysterical set on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Wednesday’s Late Late Show repeat features the debut of the best boy band you’ve never heard of, Thr33way, featuring Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele and James Corden.
