Two things on Comedy Central’s agenda right now are expanding their late night programming and having a relationship with comedian Kurt Braunohler. Comedy Central is combining these two by ordering a pilot for “Gettin’ Strange with Kurt Braunohler”. Deadline describes “Gettin’ Strange” as a late night talk show that “covers the strangest stories of the day, revealing just how beautifully insane our world actually is”.

Braunohler recently finished shooting his first season of  “Roustabout with Kurt Braunohler” for Comedy Central, where he has vowed to take on another challenge in each season.  For season one, “American Jet Ski” he rode a jet ski down the Mississippi River from Chicago to New Orleans to raise money to help impoverished areas of Africa. “Roustabout” doesn’t have an air date yet, but it is coming sometime this fall.  Braunohler also appears regularly on @Midnight and his Comedy Central Half Hour special debuted in July.

There’s no information yet on where “Gettin’ Strange with Kurt Braunohler” will land if it gets picked up, on the crowded Comedy Central late night schedule which includes The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Minority Report with Larry Wilmore (coming in January, 2015) and @Midnight which was just renewed for a second season.
