Kneeling Episode of Black-ish Won’t Air

ABC has “indefinitely” pulled an episode of “Black-ish” that was originally supposed to air on February 27th.

The episode titled “Please Baby Please” was going to address athletes’ right to kneel during the National Anthem. Variety broke the story that ABC was not planning to reschedule the shelved episode due to creative differences with series creator Kenya Barris.

In the episode, Dre reads a bedtime story to his infant son that morphs into a story about athletes’ right to kneel during the National Anthem at football games. Barris told Variety that creative differences led to neither the network, nor Barris being happy with the way the episode turned out and they mutually agreed not to air it.

Now Colin Kaepernick will never get his SAG card.
