There’s a new “Kid” in town on IFC’s “Comedy Bang Bang”. Kid Cudi has been announced by the network as Reggie Watt’s replacement and Scott Aukerman’s new co-star on Comedy Bang Bang.

The two time Grammy winner will not only be bringing his musical talents to the show, he’ll also be doing sketch work with Auckerman according to IFC. Kid Cudi has appeared in comedies like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Cleveland Show” and he’ll be in theaters this Summer playing Ari Gold’s (Jeremy Piven) assistant in the “Entourage” movie.

Scott Aukerman said, “I can’t wait to start this new chapter of Comedy Bang! Bang! with Kid Cudi. When he was on the couch, I knew he had charisma and star quality, but I thought he should move slightly camera right. Plus, my wife and I have been trying to have a kid for several years, and this is the next best thing.”

Reggie Watts will be leaving Comedy Bang Bang to become the musical director for the new Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS starting on March 23rd. However, he’ll be appearing on Comedy Bang Bang for the first 20 episodes of this current season until Scott Aukerman gives him a “proper bon voyage” on June 5th.

Comedy Bang Bang airs Fridays at 11pm et on IFC.
