Just For Laughs Social Pages! Volumes 1, 2 and 3 in Photos

Wednesday at Just for Laughs Montreal was a half day. After a long day of travel, there was just enough time to catch a very special edition of Big Jay Oakerson’s What’s Your Fucking Deal?, and a quick lap around the Netflix Party before calling it a night. Much more to come tomorrow.

The streets of Montreal are lit up with giant lanterns and lights everywhere, and it’s quiet for now, because it’s Wednesday night, but when the weekend comes, the streets will be packed.

Hanging outside Big Jay’s WYFD, we found Michael Che, Ron Bennington and Dan Soder.

The crowd at Wednesday night’s WYFD show got a gigantic surprise. Saturday Night Live Weekend Update anchors Michael Che and Colin Jost took the stage, worked the crowd and killed, with Impractical Jokers star Sal Vulcano working the audience mic like a pro.

Sal Vulcano gets the crowd involved.

Comedy 101!  Friday night at the MainLine!

Two comics a lot of people are talking about. Ramon Rivas who will be hosting Cleveland’s Accidental Comedy Fest in a few weeks, and one of the New Faces that everyone’s already buzzing about- Sam Jay at the Netflix Party Wednesday night.

Chris D’Elia hanging out with Robert Kelly at the Netflix Party.

Annie Lederman giving some kind of sign. What does that mean? Is she hungry?

Free Grilled Cheese!? And potato chips. Everyone eats at Just for Laughs.

Thursday at Just for Laughs Montreal everything started kicking into higher gear. At JFL, every day feels like a week, and even new arrivals to Montreal were starting to show some signs of fatigue after two nights of parties, an 80’s hip hop show, Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch cocktail party, and a lot of comedy. The day ended with a gigantic Comedy Central party that was going strong way into the wee hours with all the poutine you could eat, and incredible corned beef sandwiches courtesy of Schwartz’s.

This is our version of the society pages.  Enjoy!

Caught New York buddies Big Jay Oakerson and Sal Vulcano hanging out in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel. Big Jay has been up here at JFL for 9 days now, performing the Nasty Show every night, three days of What’s Your Fucking Deal with two more to go, and ending every night at the Comedy Jam, and still going strong. Sal was a killer on the audience mic on WYFD, and made his Comedy Jam debut, and is about to become the first stand up comic with his own action figure!

SiriusXM’s Roland Campos (of Roland’s Food Court) and SiriusXM’s Paul Ofcharsky hanging out talking Springsteen.

The Goddamn Comedy Jam’s Josh Adam Meyers and one of Canada’s fastest rising young comics, K. Trevor Wilson. K Trev was telling us about big plans for Letterkenny and we’re excited about a new season in Sudbury.

A stellar crew in the Green Room waiting to tape an episode of Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude podcast. Ari Shaffir, Mike Calta, Ron Bennington, Robert Kelly and Dan Soder.

Robert Kelly’s son hijacking YKWD, and pledging his alliance to Jim Norton- or is that Chip Chipperson!? With Dan Soder, Ari Shaffir, Mike Calta, and Ron Bennington.

Jimmy Carr is a legend in Montreal and we found him hanging out with super producer Christine Marie Evans and Big Jay Oakerson in the Hyatt Hotel lobby.

Gigantic congratulations to Jesus Trejo who blew us away at his JFL debut last summer as one of the chosen New Faces, and then follows that up grabbing a prestigious nod as one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2017.

The amazing Krystal Stark, co-president of LOCA and an up an coming power manager with Matt Pavich who just became one of JFL’s first New Faces: Creators honorees, and the incomparable Yamaneika Saunders.

Jeffrey Ross and Sal Vulcano jumped on the gigantic outdoor Video-Tron stage to help Russell Peters and hip hop legends of the 80’s close out a big show.

The brilliant Paul Provenza and our own Jeffrey Gurian catching up on the sidewalk after the midnight shows.

Two incredibly funny women who we love! Gina Yashere and Jess Kirson looking like they’re having a great time!

Erik Griffin and Andrew Santino from Showtime’s “I’m Dying Up Here” hug it out at the Comedy Central party.

Erik Griffin and Ari Graynor looking like a million bucks at the Comedy Central party. Both star in Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here which has been dominating the festival press all week.

Sherrod Small hanging out with Keith Robinson and Donnell Rawlings. Keith was brilliant (as always) hosting New Faces Unrepped. Sure it’s supposed to be about the kids, but did anyone think you could put Keith on stage and not have him steal the show?

W. Kamau Bell has a presence that takes over the room at the Comedy Central party.

Andrew Santino, and Rick Glassman having a great time at the late night party.

Liza Treyger, one of the Variety Top Comics to Watch!

Barry Katz front and center in Sherrod Small’s group selfie.  This most definitely made it to Sherrod’s Instagram.

Here’s Friday and Saturday at Just for Laughs Montreal and even though everyone was commenting on exhaustion setting in, it didn’t stop them from staying out and partying till 5am. It was also the night we produced Comedy 101 and packed out the MainLine Theater, so there wasn’t as much time to grab photos, but it was still a memorable day with much more to come.
