Joy Behar Is Back As Co-Host Of ‘The View’

behar

ABC finally woke from their drunken stupor to remember that the last time The View was successfully was due to Joy Behar. So they gave her the gig back.

“[Behar is] One of the most-beloved personalities in the talk show’s history having co-hosted for seasons 1-16,” ABN News said in a press release, adding, “While equally at ease performing standup comedy or interviewing politicians and celebrities, Behar brings honesty, humor, irreverence, with an authentic and intelligent point of view on every topic.”

“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in,” said Behar. “And I’m looking forward to sticking my two cents into the hot topics, especially now that Hillary and the Donald are in the spotlight.”

Behar was one of the first members of the cast of The View in 1997 but did not appear on the show every day initially. She later became a permanent co-host until she left in August 2013, but appeared as a guest host occasionally.

Sheri Shepard is also returning and ABC is bringing on Candace Cameron and Paula Faris to join current and continuing co-hosts Whoopi Golderg, Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins.

Fred Armisen is already dusting off his impression.
