John Pinette (1964 -2014)
Stand-up comedian John Pinette died Saturday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m in a Pittsburgh Hotel. He has been a headlining comedian for decades and has has appeared in comedy specials, on the Tonight Show and acted in films. Pinette was named Stand-Up Comedian of the Year by American Comedy Awards. He also guest-starred on the series finale of the popular ‘90s sitcom “Seinfeld,” playing the victim of a carjacking. Characters Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer videotape the carjacking and mock him in the process, and end up being charged with violating the Good Samaritan Law.
