Penn State’s legendary coach Joe Paterno passed away at age 85. Mount Nittany Medical Center announced that the official cause of death was metastic small cell carcinoma of the lung.
Joe Pa was head coach for the Nittany Lions for 46 years and won two national championships. He also holds the record for the most wins for a Division 1 football coach with 409 victiories. The sight of those huge glasses, windbreaker and white socks running across the field will always be remembered by college football fans.
