Jimmy Fallon and Jerry Seinfeld, Rivals Who Love Each Other

Last night on the Tonight Show Jerry Seinfeld sat down with Jimmy Fallon and if you watched, you saw two of America’s most beloved, and audience-friendly comedians show a ton of love for each other. Despite Seinfeld’s assertion that he’s really really irritable, these two are like America’s mascots. They’re competing against each other in the same Emmy category this year, but even Jerry’s gloating about getting into the same category on no budget comes across as friendly and sweet and fluffy as cotton candy. These two seem incapable of disagreeing on anything.

“It’s so uncomfortable,” Seinfeld says. “Cause this is as big as it gets. Your show on a major network, the amount of money that is spent and that I caught you with three go pros and a used car. We’re tied.” Fighting words? NOoooooooo of course not. Jimmy laughs, claps his hands, says that’s sad, that’s sad, and the love continues.

Come on Jimmy, fess up.  Ever since those award-hogging shows The Daily Show and the Colbert Report went off the air, all you’ve been thinking is Emmy….Emmy…Emmy.  You know you’ve got a dartboard at home with Seinfeld’s face on it.  Used car?  Really Jerry? Is that what we’re calling collectibles nowadays?
