Jets Owner Will Pay Kneeling Fines

The owner of the New York Jets says he will not impose any fines on his players if they choose to kneel during the National Anthem. Any fines levied on the team as the result of kneeling. “I never want to put restrictions on the speech of our players. Do I prefer they stand? Of course. But I understand if they feel the need to protest. There are some big, complicated issues that we’re all struggling with, and our players are on the front lines.”

Having dominated the AFC for the last 30 years the Jets now turn their attention to social issues.
