Jesse Ventura: American Sniper’s Chris Kyle Is No Hero
Jesse Ventura is stepping into the controversy coming from the film adaptation of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s autobiography, “American Sniper”. Actually, he’s stepping into it again. Ventura won a $1.8 million defamation lawsuit last year, against Kyle who claimed in his book that he once punched out Ventura in a California bar. It never happened and Kyle’s publisher had to remove that chapter from the book.
With the film, Ventura, also a former Navy SEAL, said Kyle shouldn’t be considered a hero by movie fans, “A hero must be honorable, must have honor. And you can’t have honor if you’re a liar. There is no honor in lying”.
It’s pretty strong words about someone lying to the public from someone who made a career out of professional wrestling.
