It’s being described as “Thelma and Louise — but nobody dies.” Jenny Slate (SNL, Married, Parks & Rec) is teaming up with Ari Graynor (TV’s Bad Teacher) for a new comedy pilot being shot for FX. The comedy features Slate and Graynor as Lou and Viv, two creative partners who are traveling cross country. Deadline reported the description of the show as being an “honest comedy” exploring an adult female friendship.

The team behind the untitled comedy is the same group that worked on Jenny Slate’s comedy – drama from last year, “Obvious Child”. The pilot is a collaboration between Slate and Obvious Child’s director Gillian Robespierre and her co-writer on the film, Elisabeth Holm. FX reportedly greenlit the pilot after Jenny Slate’s character on the network’s series “Married” was moved from being a regular to a recurring character.
