Jason Schwartzman Series Gets A Second Season On Amazon

The fictional symphony orchestra in Amazon Studios’ comedy series “Mozart in the Jungle” is getting a second season.

“Mozart in the Jungle” was created by and is produced by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Paul Weitz. The series shows all the backstabbing, politics, drug abuse and scandal that goes on in the world of orchestra musicians. The series stars Gael García Bernal as Rodrigo De Souza, the symphony’s new controversial conductor. “Mozart in the Jungle” also stars Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows, Hannah Dunne, Peter Vack, Malcolm McDowell and Bernadette Peters.

Amazon Studios VP Roy Price said, “The first season of Mozart in the Jungle was a big hit with our customers and I’m thrilled that we’re able to produce a second season. Roman, Jason, and Paul brought viewers into this rarely-seen world of the symphony. I know fans of the series will be in for treat when the second season premieres early next year.”
