J.B. Smoove Reveals ‘Curb’ Release Date

Ever since it was announced almost one year ago that HBO’s iconic Curb Your Enthusiasm would be coming back to TV, there’s been one huge question burning a hole in the minds of fans: WHEN!? Well, that question has finally been answered, although that answer appears to have been revealed prematurely.

J.B. Smoove, the comedian who plays Larry David’s accidental roommate, Leon Black, made an appearance at Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic music festival this past weekend. He and actress Amanda Seales, who hosts truTV’s Greatest Ever, took to the stage to bring up The Roots, and at some point during the course of their brief address, Smoove let slip that Curb would be making its long-awaited return to HBO on October 1st. There isn’t any video of the announcement, and HBO has refused to make any official comment on the matter, so all we have to go by is the testimony of a few people who attended the festival. Hey, a lead’s a lead!
