Inside Amy Schumer Season 2 Finale Tonight!

Tonight is the season finale for Inside Amy Schumer‘s season two on Comedy Central.

There has been no sophomore jinx for the second seaons of Amy Schumer’s sketch comedy show. According to Amy, the plan for season 2 was to get even more ambitious. And she does with sketches like “Wireless Bummers” where Amy battles to contact Time Warner after her cable goes out, which turns into more of short film. Inside Amy Schumer has raised its own bar this season with tight writing, great guest stars and really funny performances all around. What other sketch show in the history of television has ever had the guts to give the star of the show herpes in the season opener?

One of the strengths of season 2, has been the terrific use of guest stars on Inside Amy Schumer. Appearing this season have been names like Paul Giamatti, Josh Charles, Zach Braff, Janeane Garofalo, Parker Posey, and Rachel Dratch, plus some of the hottest comedians working today including Kurt Metzger, Nikki Glaser, Dan Soder, Ali Wong, Rachel Feinstein, Jim Norton, Jim Florentine, Michael Ian Black, Bridget Everett, Colin Quinn, Reggie Watts and Jon Dore. Norton, Florentine, Watts and Dore all appear in tonight’s season finale.

The rewards are starting to pay off for Inside Amy Schumer as well. Amy has received a nomination this year for best actress in comedy series from the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Expect to see many more nominations for her series.
