IFC Launches Digital Series ‘Frank and Lamar’ and ‘Sport Court’

IFC, the network that plays host to shows like Documentary Now! and Portlandia, has just launched two new digital series. The shows, called Frank and Lamar and Sport Court, will join a growing slate of web series that have been picked up by the network for the Comedy Crib section of their website, which launched in 2014. Other contributors to the Comedy Crib include Above Average, The Annoyance Theatre and UCB Comedy.

Frank and Lamar, which stars Carl Foreman Jr. (Upright Citizens Brigade) and Anthony Gaskins (Crazy Beats Strong Every Time, The Jerk Theory) tells the story of two best friends/middle school teachers who both live and work together. As their lives start to go in different directions, they must decide whether to go their separate ways or attempt to salvage their longtime friendship.

Sport Court, starring Chris Roberti (Broad City, High Maintenance) and Monique Moses (Broad City, Broker), follows Judge David Linda, a circuit court judge who’s placed in an impromptu courtroom in the basement of the Hartford UItradome in order to try rowdy sports fans who cause problems at sporting events. The series was created and written by Joe Schiappa, a collaborator on Funny Or Die’s Pitch series and the creator of MTV’s digital series Truth or Dare.

Both shows are available to watch now on IFC’s Comedy Crib, so head on over and check them out!
