Trump did it, and now Hillary’s done it too.

Last night Hillary Clinton did a pop in on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, playing a bartender named “Val” who shares a friendly chat and some advice with Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Kate McKinnon played a bummed out Mrs. Clinton who tells her bartender she’s had a hard “couple of 22 years.”

Clinton was trying to show she has sense of humor and that she could roll with a few gentle shots from the SNL writers last night, and the sketch got mixed reactions from the media.  The jabs came in the form of self reflection by Clinton’s McKinnon counterpart, who regretfully pointed out that it took her a little too long take a position against the Keystone Pipeline, and likewise took too much time to support gay marriage.

“Nothing wrong with taking your time, whats important is getting it right,” Val advised about the pipeline position, later adding “it really is great how long you’ve supported gay marriage.”

McKinnon-Clinton: I could have supported it sooner.
Val: Well you did it pretty soon.
McKinnon-Clinton: Could have been sooner.
Val: Fair point.

Mrs. Clinton as Val took a few shots at Trump in the sketch, and she can now add her name to the list of people who have done a Donald Trump impression on Saturday Night Live.

They wrapped with a Clinton-Clinton duet of “Lean on Me.” At least she didn’t nae nae.
