Watch the Trailer for Danny McBride’s New HBO Series
Danny McBride and director Jody Hill, who created the beloved cult classic “Eastbound & Down”, are back at HBO with their new series, “Vice Principals.” The trailer for the new project was released today, and man does it look fun!
McBride and Walton Goggins (who you may recognize from “The Hateful Eight,” “Justified”) play vice principals of a high school who are vying for the open principal job. If the trailer is any indication these gentlemen will stop at nothing to earn the coveted title.
The tone of the show is in a similar vein to “Eastbound & Down.” It’s a dark comedy that finds laughs through awkward and uncomfortable moments. Vice Principals is slated to be two season half-hour show with eighteen total episodes.
The show premieres on HBO in July. Watch the trailer here:
