Show: Jamie Kennedy
Venue: Gotham Comedy Club
Location:208 W. 23rd Street NYC
Time: 8 & 10pm
Description of Show and Lineup:
Actor, producer, and comedian Jamie Kennedy just wrapped James Gray’s space epic, Ad Astra for Plan B/New Regency opposite Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, and Ruth Negga. His other recent work includes starring roles in the latest installment of the Tremors film franchise for Universal, as well as Riley’s Peak opposite Jon Voight, and the upcoming thriller, Spinning Man, opposite Guy Pearce, Pierce Brosnan, and Minnie Driver.
Before that, he appeared in Chris Carter’s (The X-files) Amazon drama pilot The After, and NBC’s medical dramedy, Heartbeat. He is also voicing multiple characters on the new Comedy Central animated series, Legends Of Chamberlain Heights, and portrayed legendary music manager Jerry Heller in the Lifetime movie Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge, & Michel’le. Jamie can also be seen performing his stand up show around the country.
Jamie landed his big break when he was cast in Baz Luhrman’s Romeo + Juliet, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio as a punked-out rival to John Leguizamo. His career soon kicked into high gear as he co-starred in his breakthrough performance as Randy Meeks in Wes Craven’s Scream and its follow-up Scream 2. Jamie has worked alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood like Steve Martin in Bowfinger and Greg Kinnear in the Oscar-nominated As Good As It Gets.
In 2002, Kennedy created The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, which became the WB’s highest-rated show. Kennedy portrayed a number of wacky characters, but the audience’s favorite was Brad Gluckman, the white rapper from Malibu. In 2003, Kennedy brought Brad Gluckman to the hit film, Malibu’s Most Wanted.
Along with those films mentioned above Jamie has had memorable roles in fan favorites like Three Kings directed by David O. Russell, Enemy of the State directed by Tony Scott, Boiler Room opposite Vin Diesel and over 190 episodes of television under his belt with networks that include CBS, WB, MTV, Comedy Central, Showtime, NBC, Fox, and VH1.

In 2012, Random House books released his first humorous book title, I Want You to Shut the F*ck Up. That same year, DL also created and starred in the satirical documentary special for Comedy Central DL Hughley: The Endangered List, which premiered to rave reviews. The special was honored with the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award at the 72nd Annual Peabody Awards competition.
Known for being astute and politically savvy in true comedian style, DL served as host of his own late night talk show on CNN DL Hughley Breaks the News, and was a series regular on the NBC drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Most recently, DL hosted the TBS’s game show Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host. He also tapped into his playful side and participated in the 16th season of the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars. As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN The Hughleys, DL is also well known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy. A veteran of numerous talk show appearances DL switched the tables in 2005, hosting his own talk show on Comedy Central Weekends at the DL.

Part professorial, part crazed comedian, Proops forms the show around his talent and passions. The show flows like a love letter to tangents. The Proopcast has been to Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, London, Paris, Edinburgh, Norway, Amsterdam, Brooklyn, Dublin, Austin, Cleveland, San Francisco and off the coast of St. Martin in the Caribbean. SUNDAY 11/26
Show: Ari Shaffir: New Hour In Progress
Venue: Comedy Cellar at The Fat Black Pussycat
Location:130 W. 3rd Street NYC
Time: 8:30pm
Description of Show and Lineup:
Stand-up comedian, podcaster and actor ARI SHAFFIR describes his comedy as a puppet show–but way filthier and without the puppets. The New York native grew up Orthodox Jewish, spent 2 years in a yeshiva in Israel, and came back to America to lose his religion and become a comic. LA Weekly has called Shaffir “a gifted unyielding comic…a real force to be reckoned with.”
This July, Shaffir released two Netflix specials called Double Negative Which is presented in two 45 minute episodes called Children and Adulthood.Self-described as his version of a “Smashing Pumpkins Double Album,” this type of double header release hasn’t been seen since George Carlin’s 1972 release of FM & AM. In Children Shaffir discusses the pressure he is getting from his family and friends to have kids, and why he is getting more and more thoughts in his head about why he doesn’t want to do that and in Adulthood, he discusses the freedoms of being child-free. Decider.com called Shaffir’s Netflix debut“positively audacious.” Shaffir recently finished 3 seasons as the host and co-creator of Comedy Central’s weekly storytelling series This is Not Happening. He was a regular panel guest on the series @midnight, and TBS’s Conan. In 2016, Shaffir co-starred Zach Galifianakis, Gal Gadot and Jon Hamm in Twentieth Century Fox’s comedy Keeping Up With The Joneses.
Shaffir also hosts the wildly popular podcast, Skeptic Tank, a weekly interview show where he chats with everyone from parents to comedians to prostitutes “to help better understand humanity and also to make fart jokes.” The podcast is consistently among the top-rated podcasts on iTunes and averages over 100,000 downloads per week. Shaffir is also an avid sports fan and gets together with Sam Tripoli and Jayson Thibault once a week to record the Punch Drunk Podcast. Dubbed “an Asian massage for the real sports fans,” by The Podcast Tribune, these three stand-up comics share their sports thoughts, arguments, stories, fights, and beats. In the past 5 years, Shaffir has released two hour-long standup specials on Comedy Central entitled Paid Regular and Passive Aggressive. Prior to these popular specials, Shaffir’s standup album Revenge for the Holocaust went to #1 on both iTunes charts and Amazon.com the week of its premiere. He continues to perform stand up to sold-out crowds nationwide and has been featured at Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Festival, San Francisco SketchFest, SXSW, the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival.

MONDAY 11/27
Show: Chris DiStefano: Size 38 Inch Waist
Venue: The Village Underground
Location:130 W. 3rd Street NYC
Time: 8pm
Description of Show and Lineup:
Described as a high energy comic, Chris Distefano acts out a variety of characters derived from his life, typically leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering “Who the hell is that he’s talking about?” Chris has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across New York City including but not limited to Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Caroline’s on Broadway, and the Laugh Lounge. Chris still lives in Brooklyn, NY with his Mom (punch line). Chris has a Bachelors degree in Psychology to impress his mom’s friends, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to impress his Moms friend’s Moms. That kind of thinking got him on the SNY network as the host of the 2010 Fencing Masters at Hammerstein Ballroom. It also got him all the way to the Final 4 of the 2011 March Madness Comedy Competition at the world famous Caroline’s on Broadway. Chris also headlined at Caroline’s this month and recently opened for Gilbert Gottfried & Dustin Diamond. When he’s not making witty remarks (like the ones you’ve just read) or transforming into various personas on stage, you can find him stretching people’s hamstrings and getting yelled at to clean his room.

Show: NPR Ask Me Another
Venue: The Bell House
Location:149 7th Street Brooklyn
Time: 7:30pm
Description of Show and Lineup:
Puzzlemaster Will Shortz and Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! host Peter Sagal walk into a bar… No, it’s not the start of a joke. It’s the essence of Ask Me Another, a rambunctious hour that blends brainteasers and local pub trivia night with comedy and music. Host Ophira Eisenberg invites in-studio guests and listeners alike to stretch their noggins, tickle their funny bones, and enjoy witty banter and guitar riffs from house musician Jonathan Coulton.
For an hour, listeners can play along as Eisenberg puts questions to a rotating band of puzzle gurus, audience members and special mystery guests, who then takes a turn in the contestant’s chair facing trivia games written especially for him or her. What you’ll hear resembles the casual intimacy of game night at a friend’s house: one where scores are forgotten in favor of hilarious gaffes.
Ask Me Another is recorded live at The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY.
