Show: Matteo Lane: Streisand at the Bon Soir
Venue: Pangea
Location:
178 2nd Avenue NYC
Time: 9:30pm
Description of Show and Lineup:

Comedian and vocalist, Matteo Lane recreates the magic of 19 year old Barbra Streisand’s famous jazz set at Bon Soir with his own updated flavor and stylings. Henry Koperski joins him on keys, and together they’ll flood you with musical magic from the early 1960’s.
In 1960 at age 19, Barbra Streisand was already making her mark in NYC, performing an array of jazz classics in between humorous musings and eccentric jokes. She was wacky, brilliant and beautiful and had a musical sensibility that was far too advanced for someone her age. Thankfully one of her shows was recorded, and lives on as “Barbra Streisand, Live at Bon Soir.” Intrigued by this recording, Matteo was inspired to recreate this set of music and bring it to Pangea with his own updated flavor and stylings. This show hopes to capture Barbara’s unique essence before she became a household name.Matteo Has performed as a stand-up comedian all over the country and can also be seen on MTV’s Guy Code and Girl Code, and most recently Late Night W/ Seth Meyers on NBC. Music Director, Henry Koperski is one of the most in-demand pianists in the NYC music/comedy circle and has performed with artists all over the country. He has also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Show: Shawn Wayans
Venue: Gotham Comedy Club
Location:
208 W. 23rd Street NYC
Time:  8pm
Description of Show and Lineup:

Shawn Wayans made his acting debut in 1989 in his brother Keenen Ivory
Wayans’ feature film “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka.” Immediately following
his feature film debut, Shawn joined the cast of the Emmy Award winning
comedy series, “In Living Color.”
Shawn starred in the box office hits, “Little Man” and “White Chicks,” both
of which he also co-wrote and co-executive produced. Shawn began cowritin
his string of blockbusters with the smash “Scary Movie” where he also
played Ray, an ambiguously gay football jock, alongside his brother Marlon
Wayans, and directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. Co-written, co-executive
produced by and starring Shawn Wayans, “Scary Movie 2” was the onl
sequel in the “Scary Movie” franchise with direct Wayans involvement.
Shawn will next be seen on the big screen in “Dance Flick,” the new comedy
co-written with brothers Marlon and Keenen Ivory.
Shawn’s past film credits include the hit comedy “Don’t Be a Menace to
South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood,” which he cowrote,
executive produced and starred in with brother Marlon Wayans. The
movie was a comic spoof of the coming-of-age-in-the-‘hood movies and is a
huge cult favorite.
“The Wayans Bros.” sitcom, which Shawn and Marlon created and starred in,
was the first WB show to be sold into syndication after heading up the WB
network lineup for five years.
Shawn, along with his brothers and sisters, created “Thugaboo” and the
subsequent “Boo Crew” animate specials for Nickelodeon, which began
premiering in August, 2006. In addition to creating, the Wayans are also
writing, directing and voicing the series which takes a humorous lok at the
trials and tribulations of nine inner city kids. TheBooCrew.com released in the
fall 2009 and plans are underway to turn The Boo Crew into a daily comic
strip.
When not on the road performing standup, Shawn can be found hard at work in
the “lab” where he and his brothers are busy concocting their next project.

Show: The Comedianne Project
Venue: The Standing Room
Location:
47-38 Vernon Blvd. LIC
Time: 9pm
Description of Show and Lineup:

Katie Hannigan and Corinne Fisher debuted The Comedienne Project at FringeNYC15. Corinne, the host of the popular anti slut shaming podcast, Guys We Fucked, and Katie, a vehement man hater, both felt themselves falling into the trap of creating material that revolved around men, and our relationships to them. Fisher and Hannigan wanted to break out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves to answer – “What do we think about when we’re not thinking about dudes and sex?” And the two created new half hour sets of fresh material on anything and everything BUT men. (turns out mostly food and vampires,)
Now at The Standing Room, The Comedienne Project continues as Katie and Corinne invite fellow comics to participate in the challenge. Female and male comics alike perform full sets free of sex, dating and relationship material. Katie and Corinne keep it fresh by ringing a bell if a comic slips up and accidentally brings up butt plugs.
