Only one day after his friend Brett Ratner announced that he will no longer be involved with this year’s Oscars (see related story), Eddie Murphy is announcing that he will not be hosting the prestigious award show.
According to the New York Times:
The hasty departures represented an embarrassing collapse of the Academy’s plans with less than four months before the ceremony, and left it scrambling to fill key roles on a show that is one of the most elaborately staged on television.
