Gone With The Wind Screening Pulled For Being Insensitive


The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis has removed the 1939 Oscar winning film from its regular spot in its Summer Movie Series because the movie contains material “that is insensitive to a large segment of its local population.” This led to the theater’s new slogan, “The Orpheum: Where We Obviously Do Give A Damm.”
