Going Home: A Benefit For New Jersey
I lived in New Jersey for my entire life before moving to Rhode Island last year. So it is with great sadness that I have been viewing the horrific images from my home state in the wake of the storm. I have many close friends at the Jersey shore, and in speaking with them the word “gone” keeps coming up. It’s heartbreaking.
I was looking for something I could do to help my friends, and I came up with the idea of doing something that involves what I know best, music. So I reached out to my friends Bob Kendall and Mark Cutler, and asked them to help me. They both responded in under five minutes, and agreed to help organize this benefit. I will always be grateful to them for it – Ken.
The cover charge for the day will be $10, and ALL proceeds will go to the American Red Cross – Jersey Coast Chapter:
