Giant Crowds Greet Larry David After Shows at Cort Theater

Not only is Larry David’s “Fish in the Dark” the hottest ticket on Broadway, but his fans love him so much that they want more Larry.  Yesterday crowds of happy theatergoers poured out of the Cort Theater and instead of heading back to their cars or looking for cabs, they crowded around the stage door, with more crowds cramming the sidewalks across the street, standing on lamp posts like a parade was coming through.

After spending roughly two hours and fifteen minutes watching Larry perform on a small stage, in a small theater, huge crowds of fans huddle outside in freezing cold temperatures just to share one more moment with Larry, and hope to get a poster signed or maybe a handshake. Others were satisfied just to watch from a distance.  Yesterday we caught Larry coming out of the theater, and watched everyone gather to bask in the light of Lah.

Larry spent a good ten minutes greeting the crowd, and getting more than a few laughs before being heralded into his waiting car.

“Fish in the Dark” officially opened on March 5th, and tickets are literally ungettable.  The show is currently scheduled for a run through June  7th. Larry plays Norman Drexel, a man dealing with the death of his father.  “Fish in the Dark” co-stars Rita Wilson, Rosie Perez, Ben Shenkman, Jerry Adler, Lewis J. Stadlen and Jayne Houdyshell.
